Collection and use of personal data
Personal data are the data which can be directly or indirectly associated with you as a private person and which are collected and processed by Respo Haagised AS to fulfil a contract entered into with an individual or for contacting the individual, as well as for fulfilling their legal obligations.
A regular customer’s personal data can be collected in the following manner:
• by submission of the customer’s contact details (incl. your name, personal identification code, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, preferred method of being contacted) on our website or elsewhere (e.g. in a store);
• from the customer’s account information or through cookies upon using the website;
• upon making a purchase or placing an order in our store or the online store by saving the person’s contact details or information on the customer’s purchasing preferences (Respo Haagised AS may ask you to submit your personal data and personal information on our website voluntarily. The required personal data may include your name, address, postal code, e-mail address, telephone number, and other details);
• upon applying for payment on deferred terms.
Collection of other data
We also collect impersonal data – the data which cannot be directly associated with one specific person (gender, age, preferred language, location).
The use and retention of the personal data collected
The personal data collected enable us to notify the customers of the product news, campaigns, and future events of Respo Haagised AS. Customers who do not wish to receive our newsletters or notifications of the products which may interest them may unsubscribe from the list of addressees at any time.
The personal data collected are also used to deliver the goods and to fulfill our obligations to the customer.
In order to provide better services to the customer, Respo Haagised AS may disclose information about individual users to third parties who provide services to Respo Haagised AS and are under a contractual obligation to maintain the confidentiality of the information shared. Such third parties include, for example, our partner who is in charge for organising the delivery of the goods sold in our online store or for the provision of the service of payment on deferred terms.
The customer’s personal data are retained by Respo Haagised AS until termination of the regular customer’s contract. The data which Respo Haagised AS is required to retain pursuant to the legislation (e.g. accounting data) are retained by Respo Haagised AS based on the requirements established in the legislation.
Protection of personal data
Respo Haagised AS applies all precautionary measures (incl. administrative, technical, and physical measures) for the protection of the customers’ personal data. Only authorised persons have access to the date for amendment or processing thereof.
Customers may request the cessation of processing of their data, information about the use of their data, and transfer of the data to themselves or a third party in a commonly used format. In order to prevent abuse of the customers’ data and rights, the applications may only be submitted in a format which enables identification of the applicant (in a digitally signed format or signed in person at a branch). We reserve the right to respond to such applications within 30 days.
A request for cessation of processing of the data is treated as an application for termination of the regular customer’s contract.
All personal data of the customers obtained in course of visits to the online store of Respo Haagised AS and making purchases are deemed as confidential information. An encrypted data connection channel with banks ensures the security of the personal data and bank details of those making purchases.
You may always contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or file a claim with a court to protect your data. The Data Protection Inspectorate is a governmental body which can also be contacted for advice or assistance in the area of protection of personal data.
